Djokovic praises Alcaraz: "He can beat my record of 41 wins, without a doubt"
With 14 consecutive wins, Alcaraz is close to Djokovic's record. The Serbian doesn't hesitate: "He has everything it takes to beat him"
With an incredible 41-fight winning streak in 2011, Novak Djokovic holds the record for the longest winning streak. With currently 14 consecutive wins, Carlos Alcaraz is a third away from that feat.
«He has everything it takes»
Asked about the possibility of the Spaniard beating that record, Djokovic replied: "He is capable, without a doubt. He has everything you need in tennis: adaptability to different surfaces, excellent physical condition and a remarkable ability to recover, qualities that he has proven and perfected over the years.
He just has to preserve his physical shape. If you can do it, you're so good that you can win any tournament. Who knows? He is doing historic things at a very young age. It is extremely demanding; I myself have experienced such a series, and even others of 25 consecutive victories.» (Tennis Temple)
